I didn’t study marketing. I learned it by doing.
I started out in accounting. It was logical and expected, but it wasn’t for me. I wanted something that felt more human, more creative and less boxed in.

So I Googled. I tested. I taught myself. That’s how I ended up in marketing, branding and strategy. Not through a degree, but through real work, trial and error and building things from the ground up.

Over time, I have worked across startups, law firms, hospitality, consulting and more, sometimes leading strategy, sometimes creating structure where there was none and always figuring things out in the real world.
​
The biggest lessons did not come from the wins. They came from the people, the politics and the projects that didn’t go to plan. That’s what shaped how I work and how I think.

This site is not a pitch. It’s a place to share what I have learned, so others can skip some of the unnecessary noise and get to the stuff that actually works.

Digital Marketing Manager – Family Law Education Network & Amanda Little & Associates
Managing marketing across two growing legal brands. I run campaigns, create content that doesn’t sound like it was written by a bot and handle everything from social media to CLE events. Also supporting the launch of a new legal magazine. It’s fast-paced, a little chaotic and definitely not boring.
Digital Marketing Specialist – Liquid HR PTY LTD
Led the marketing for a national HR outsourcing and payroll firm. Built out lead generation, designed email workflows, handled Google Ads, social media, SEO and revamped websites. Left on good terms (with the best manager ever).
Founder – Marketing Hues
Started my own thing because I saw too many brands looking and sounding the same. Helped small businesses and professional services get their branding, content and strategy sorted, without the jargon or corporate fluff.
Group Marketing Manager – DC Strategy
Ran all communications, social and digital strategy for a national franchise consulting group. Delivered events and campaigns on deadline and drove qualified lead flow across multiple channels. Left because of redundancy.
Marketing Manager – Accor (Pullman, Novotel, ibis Sydney Olympic Park)
Managed digital campaigns across three hotel properties. Contributed high-performing content and brand work. The role came with challenges, long hours, racial discrimination, low pay, internal politics and credit taken where it was not due.
Portfolio Marketing Executive – Accor (Salter Brothers Portfolio of 11 Hotels)
Oversaw marketing across 11 hotels in Australia. Was passed over for a permanent manager position despite capability, in favour of an internal connection.
Marketing Executive – Accor (Various Hotels)
Delivered campaigns, social content and brand work across Novotel and Pullman hotels. Worked hard through difficult environments—learning, producing and staying resilient.
